The Life You Do Not Show
You’re hidden secrets

The Life You Do Not Show
There is a life you keep within you,
Untouched by what the world can see,
A deeper current moving slowly,
Beneath your outer clarity.
It holds the thoughts you never voice,
The fears you quietly contain,
The moments no one stood beside you,
When you were learning through your pain.
People see the surface version,
The composed and steady face,
But they do not know the distance,
You have walked to reach that place.
There is a story in your silence,
Written line by hidden line,
A truth that does not seek approval,
Yet remains both sharp and kind.
You do not owe the world your breaking,
Nor every piece of what you feel,
Some things are yours to carry inward,
Some things are yours to heal.
There is power in that boundary,
In choosing what is left unsaid,
Not every wound needs to be opened,
Not every tear needs to be shed.
The life you do not show is sacred,
It is yours and yours alone,
A place where you can stand unguarded,
Without being overthrown.
And though the world may never know it,
May never see its quiet depth,
It is the place that truly forms you,
In every moment, every breath.
So do not feel the need to offer,
What was never theirs to hold,
There is strength in quiet keeping,
There is courage in the untold.
For the life you keep within you,
Is the truest one you own,
And it will guide you, steady, certain,
Long after all is shown.
